Unfinished painting by Gustav Klimt Image

Gustav Klimt never completed his final painting, “The Bride” (1917-1918), but his unfinished work provides us with an incredible opportunity to look inside the artist’s technique and his hidden desires. Klimt died before he had time to draw clothes for the women, so the painting depicts them naked. This indicates a fixation on the subject of sex that lies beneath the surface of the artist’s other paintings.
